Yeldersley Hall is a magnificent Georgian country house which stands in 12 acres of gardens and paddocks. It is only two miles from the historic market town of Ashbourne, making it an ideal base for exploring the Peak District, Derbyshire's stately homes and other attractions. We have tried to preserve the country estate atmosphere and we hope that our guests feel relaxed in this peaceful and exclusive setting.


We have four self-catering holiday apartments sleeping two to four persons. Each apartment has been independently assessed by the The Heart Of England Tourist Board rating of "Highly Commended"- two of the apartments acheiving the topmost "5 Star" rating!

Lettings during the main season (usually April through to September) are for whole weeks running from Saturday to Saturday. However, we will consider taking last minute 'short breaks' if we are not booked up. It's always worth a telephone call to check! We are more flexible with short breaks during the winter at the following rates:-

Up to 3 nights - 60% of weekly rate
Up to 4 nights - 75% of weekly rate
Up to 5 nights - 90% of -weekly rate


All electricity, gas and heating costs are included as are towels, linen and basic commodities such as soap, toilet rolls and detergents. Each apartment also has its own payphone and ironing facilities as well as a vacuum cleaner.
A cot and high chair are available by prior arrangement.

In order to preserve standards, we are afraid that pets and children under 10 (save for babies up to 12 months) are not allowed.

The Archway & Yew Tree Apartments

The Archway and Yew Tree apartments are situated in what was formerly the laundry and have views over the stable-yard, gardens and tennis court. They each sleep 2 adults and there is a relaxing and cottage type feel to these apartments. Both comprise a kitchen/diner/lounge, bedroom with double bed and a bathroom. They have shared use of separate laundry facilities. The apartments are furnished and equipped to high standards. The kitchens contain a full set of pots, pans, plates and cutlery, an electric cooker, microwave and a fridge with a freezer compartment. The lounges have the benefit of real effect gas-stove type burners and each has a colour television.

The Stable Apartment

The Stable apartment is our luxury two person accommodation. It blends together the unique charm of being the former stable-lad's quarters with every convenience of modern living. It is furnished and fitted out to a magnificent standard and is perfect for the couple who are looking to spoil themselves. It overlooks the stable-yard and the walled garden.

The apartment has a warm, cosy atmosphere benefiting from a wealth of exposed beams and original features. It boasts a delightful fully fitted kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. There is a full range of utensils, including toaster and mixer, and plenty of pots, pans and crockery.

Comfort and good taste were firmly in mind in the planning of the stable apartment and they stand out in the lounge with its co-ordinated soft furnishings, a real effect gas fire, colour television and video.

The spacious bedroom has a king-size bed, top quality furniture and delightful ensuite bathroom, which contains a bath with a powerful shower over it.

A separate utility room contains a freezer, washing machine and spin dryer.

The East Wing Apartment

Our fabulous East Wing apartment sleeps 4 persons, and enjoys a spectacular outlook over gardens, paddocks and the countryside beyond. It occupies the entire first floor of the east wing of the hall with access via a spiral staircase from the stable yard. The accommodation is luxurious with furnishings and antiques to suit, and possesses a wonderful atmosphere which leaves you feeling as though you really are living in a grand old country house!

The main rooms are all south facing with views over the gardens and countryside beyond.
The living room has been planned with comfort in mind. With a large, cosy suite and a real effect gas fire you can relax in style. In addition, a colour television and video recorder are provided for your entertainment.

The kitchen/dining room is bright and spacious. It is fitted out with high quality pine units and has a large table which seats six. The kitchen equipment includes a gas oven/hob, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher and food mixer. There is also a full range of utensils and kitchenware which should meet your every need.

The master bedroom is luxurious. It contains a Victorian half-tester double bed and other fabulous antiques and has an ensuite bathroom which will leave you feeling truly spoilt.

The second bedroom is also splendid having twin beds which are usually fitted together to form a double.

There is in addition a second bathroom with a power shower over the bath. Spanning the length of the apartment is a magnificent hallway.

Off the hallway, there is a utility room which contains an automatic washing machine/dryer, iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner and cleaning materials.


The Gardens

Guests are welcome to enjoy the 12 acres of gardens and paddocks at Yeldersley Hall. There is plenty to see including a walled garden with an ornate parterre, a kitchen garden with a renovated Victorian greenhouse and formal areas containing mature trees, shrubs and lawns. A tennis court is available for use at no extra cost and croquet equipment is also provided.

We will send written confirmation of your booking and instructions on how to find us upon receipt of a deposit equivalent to 50% of the full cost of your stay.

Your flat will be available from 2.00 p.m on the arrival date and you are requested to vacate by 10.00 a.m on the departure date. It would be appreciated if you could let us know an approximate time of arrival prior to your visit.

  • Two miles out of Ashbourne on the A52 Ashbourne - Derby road.

Public transport

 

  • There is a regular bus service to Ashbourne and Derby (roughly one per hour in each direction) which passes our drive entrance, some 150 yards away.

Nearest pub

  • The Shoulder of Mutton in Osmaston - about 3/4 mile.
Shops
  • There is a full range of shops in Ashbourne including Sainsbury's and other supermarkets, delicatessens, bakers and butchers, as well as restaurants, pubs and tea rooms.
