| | Stanshope Hall - originally built in the 16th Century and one time home to Michael Jackson, quartermaster to Oliver Cromwell. The house has seen and experienced much and has been renovated both in the 18th and 19th Centuries. Today the Hall is the family home of Nick and Naomi who use part of their splendid house for guests, where they offer en suite bed and breakfast accommodation with a difference! The Hall is in the quiet hamlet of Stanshope on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border, between the picturesque villages of Ilam and Alstonefield, near Milldale and Dovedale, amongst some of the most beautiful countryside in England. |
